Parish Library
The Saint James Parish Library exists to provide a well-rounded collection of materials that will help members of the parish community grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith, encourage Catholic responses to life situations and experiences, and further the mission of the parish. The library contains books, periodicals, and DVDs geared for all ages from toddler to senior citizen. The Library is located in Room 6 of the pastoral center and is open whenever the Church is unlocked (7:00 am – 9:00 pm). There is a self-checkout box. To see what items are in the collection go to Library Thing.
Chaired by Virginia McParland, Alexis Carola and Mary Jane McNally formed the core committee that visited other parishes, drew up plans and laid the groundwork for the library in 2007. Lauren Vaccarello processed books to fulfill the requirements for her Girl Scout Gold Award. Father Glenn blessed the library at its opening November 2009.
There are several ways to be involved in the library project.

To make a donation to the library, go to www.amazon.com and click on “Gifts and Wish Lists” and enter “Saint James Church.” You can choose from many titles to add to the parish library. Gently used Catholic books can also be donated to the librar
