Blankets of Blessings is not your ordinary crafts group! Devoted to knitting and crocheting blankets for those who need them, the results of members’ handiwork (afghans, blankets or 10” squares that can be crafted into blankets) benefit
the newly baptized babies at Sacred Heart Church in New Brunswick (Saint James' sister parish), guests of the Interfaith Hospitality Network and residents of the McCarrick Care Center. The group meets quarterly in the Pastoral Center but attendance is not mandatory. Members may work independently and just drop off their contributions.
There are two Blankets of Blessings bins located across from the Parish Office in the Pastoral Center: one contains a supply of yarn for members to use and the other is for drop off of completed work. Of course, you are free to use your own yarn. Contributions of yarn are always welcome.
Let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. — Ephesians 4:28
